COGNITUS 3rd Consortium meeting held in Paris at VITEC

The project partners met in Paris for the 3rd quarterly meeting from 11th to 13th July 2016 at the VITEC France offices.

A key aspect reported and discussed over the 3 days was the user requirements for the COGNITUS Use cases and deployment scenarios, learnt using focus-group discussions and other means. The technical requirement analysis is in progress and will be largely finalised in the next quarter. The progress in the past quarter in a number of other research strands, particularly in the areas of  user generated content (UGC) and Social media data processing were also reported.

The main focus was on the alignment of individual work packages and associated tasks towards the core COGNITUS platform.

The meeting also included a presentation from ICoSOLE, another research project funded by the EC FP7 programme, focusing on sharing the knowledge and experiences in techniques to capture UGC.
